Saa dam!! Gaddafi

We will be here forever, Do you understand? FOREVER
Forever and ever And ever and ever
We will be here forever
Do you understand that? Get what I'm saying?
FOREVER!

Krs-one - Krs-one attacks

Now I don't think I've ever been a Gaddafi fan but does the west know what they are doing in Libya?

I think my first comment on hearing about the protests in Libya a few weeks ago was do you really think Gaddafi will go silently into the night just like that? Naa star, dude's been running things with an iron fist for decades. He's had beef with US presidents all the way back to like Reagan and he's still standing. If there was a last despot standing reality tv show it'd be him, Kim Jong Il and the cats in Iran as the final cut. You think some ragtag band with two kalashinoffs and some molotov cocktails going to move him (ironically I think the Emperor said something similar in Star Wars but whatever)? Chupse, think again.

Not going to happen. But folk were euphoric cause Tunisia's despots fell and even Mubarak decided to go peacefully in Egypt and they thought whoa head rush! Boom bye Democracy in a tyrant head! This is a domino effect happening and the entire middle east will fall and then we take Yemen and Bahrain and Gaddafi is going to be a cake walk and ...skkkkrrrrrrrrzzzz hold up.

In the immortal words of P.E circa 1989 Don't believe the Hype.

Gaddafi knows how to play the game, he's been diplomatic when needs be, he's been forceful when needs be. Dude is a player.

But I come here not to big up Gaddafi. Oh no! If the people need to rise up and take back whats theirs then power to the people. The revolution will not be televised it will be on facebook and twitter (actually I think I said that months ago prior to Egypt should have copy written it damn) and in the streets!

Anyways my thing, is this whole Western involvement in what is essentially a civil war happening in Libya. I find it the ultimate in hypocrisy. How come some despots demand no-fly zones and sanctions against them but others dont? Oh is it because Gaddafi has been a torn in the side of the west for so long while others have towed the line? Why yes that is exactly it.

Don't fool ourselves into thinking that the west really cares about Gaddafi killing innocents in Libya. If so where were they when Sudan was going crazy or Rwanda or we can name like a half dozen other places where innocent citizens got murdered. Oh no, what this is all about is opportunity (and oil). The West sees this as an ideal opportunity and an excuse to get rid of Gaddafi. That's all there is to it folks.

And what aggravates me is have we in the west thought through what happens when or if we do get rid of Gaddafi? Who takes over? Libya is not Egypt where the army sided with the protesters, its likely you'll have to decimate the army to get to Gaddafi. So who takes control when the ruler of how many decades and the army is gone? Who has the skills to take over? Probably no one we in the west will like that's why. Leaving what a vacuum and into this gaping power vacuum will come chaos. And do you know the last time we saw this happen. Why yes Iraq when Sadaam was deposed. And how long did it take to get Iraq back on its feet? Is it actually back on its feet right now cause seems like we cant bring home those troops although yet.

So yea when Obama interrupts mi serious March Madness basketball to come chat about he sending in bombers and fighter jets but there will be no ground troops, I cry Pinocchio cause maybe they ain't no ground troops yet but if Gaddafi ever falls y'all know y'all going have to send in some troops to hold back the chaos and the looting and shooting and revenge and first gasps of freedom from people who would really be experiencing that concept for the first time ever in their lives and will get carried away no doubt.

So all I'm saying is this might be Gaddafi's last gasp or maybe he'll squeeze his way out but if it is his last gasp do we have the foresight to ask and plan for what happens next cause clearly we really didn't figure that out in Iraq.

Mi dun, that is all I saying fa now.

Oil...and if the chaos can create a hole, then occupiers can help themselves because when a country is falling apart, corruption rules.

Don't kid yourself about "humanitarian" efforts and "democracy". It's a smoke screen, and idealistic theory that us westerners want to believe in.
Apparently, we haven't learned anything about interfering in places that we really have no business being. Why does the US, UN and NATO think that the middle east can't deal with their own neighbours and themselves?

I scratched my head about this bombing business. I agree wholeheartedly with Radmila - the West hasn't learned anything about interfering in places where we have no business being. Trust me, there are so many agendas that aren't 'idealistic' like we would hope. Then the West wonders why people plot to retaliate against us. Chupse.
