Food studies

Let me start off first by just saying that of all the major fast food chains I pass through in Toronto Popeyes is by far the worse in terms of service. Is not that I duz eat alot of fast food these days like when I was in school but on the occasion that I do eat it yes Popeyes is a cut below the rest in terms of service. Wendy's McDonalds, KFC, Burger King all dem odda fast food bwoy ya duz get a certain quality a professional service cause dem a keep dem staff in check. Not Popeyes. Surley service by dontcarish staff who look untidy untidy and long long waits for simple items on the menu. They wont evn say amm that not available yet, dem duz tek ya order an den say no ya have to wait 5 minutes for this which is fast food terminology for a 15 minute wait but ya money dun pay so ya cant walk out an say faget it.

And not to diss my people but ya would almost think is West Indian people running dem Popeye resturant ..........but it aint we. Today one a de girls that was serving me had she hands fling off all behind the people counter like she drying she nails or frighten she going break one or she scornful for the food and the people. I couldnt understand what was happeing at all. And doan talk bout all dem untidy looking uniform. lawd! And mi not talking bout at one location cause of the several Popeyes I've been to something has always been lacking in service. Mi tink I might have to permanently done wid dem,

Anyways that rant out the way let me share this one wid ya.
Me was politicing wid a sistren yesta an the conversation sway in such a way towards food. She say ya eva notice that ya cud go into a Chinese restaurant at 2 or 3 in the morning, place open all day since 1030 in de marnin and have menu wid 200 plus item on it, menu thick like thesaurus and 20 people in de restaurant ahead a you and you order item number 182 and item 67 and 123 an in less than 10 minutes item 182 and the rest a dem pun the table in front you steaming hot and ready to eat?

To which I readily chimed in but ya cud go in a West Indian resturant at 1 or 2 in the afternoon, place open only since midday and have 3 item on the menu: jerk chicken, curry goat and oxtail, nobody at all ahead a you, place empty empty and order one a dem item and it will take dem 45 minutes to get the meal ready fa ya?

Or even worse 3 item on the menu and you order one and dem say dat not available today? 

Something to ponder aint it?

I can actually go one better from a personal experience cause once I went into a Caribbean place (now defunct) at 1230pm weekday, middle a lunchtime, place open at 1130am and order some food and the woman look at me an say "de rice not finish yet". Yea now ya understand why dem defunct now.

It is absolutely true about Chinese restaurants, definitely here in New York
There's a West Indian chain that is successful I think because the food is on steamers. . . I'm sure you've heard of golden crust
I don't frequent popeyes but I have become accustomed to a certain level of respect in the McDonalds, Wendys, and Burger King drive thru

With so many people job-hunting all over the place, you'd think the staff there would want to do their best and hold on to theirs.

Hehe, I kept seeing people here while reading about the bad staff.
