Have you ever

Stood in a line waiting at a bank or a government office or some business place and secretly hoping that the fates align you with a certain service person? Like either you see a cool looking person behind the desk handling their business efficiently or you see a fine lady or gent (if ya is a woman) or you see a complete moron who taking forever to do the smallest transaction and you praying you don't end up dealing with him.

Well like this morning I had to go run an errand, 4 service people and I was probably number 7 or 8 in line. One nice looking sista was one of the service people and I was there hoping even praying that she was the one to deal with me. Why? Just because man, cheese on wunnah gotta know everything :-). Alright fine its because she did look pleasant not hard screw and vex up like some of the other service people. Ya satisfied now?

Anyways so she dealt with one person and then came back for another and my hopes were crushed. But looking at the guy she was handling I knew that was going to be a quick transaction or so I hoped. Now one person left in line ahead of me. Ok another server is available so that takes care of the fella ahead of me. My turn next and just as I figure the sista finished with the guy in record time. Alright then, today is my lucky day. Just waiting on her to call me then!

But what happen? Cha! The other server dilly dally around and aint make no attempt to call the guy ahead of me so the sista called them over. Drats I've been foiled again. And almost as soon as she got those guys the other screw faced server now play he ready for customers again and call me. Chupse!

A so it a go!

I hate that...and I usually end up with the one person I'm praying not to get. The one that has to call over a supervisor for help or something.

Had a similar episode many years ago in a registrar's office. Even went as far as let de student behind mi go ahead, just so I'd end up at de 'right window'--only to find out that sweet-smiling service-person was actually a JERK, who refused to amend my schedule due to some very minor technicality. Maybe it was for de best. You, Mrs. J, & Little J stay stress-free!

Sound like the screw face server was hating.

I go through a similar anticipation everytime I board a plane. I sit in the lounge and look at all the beautiful girls around and I pray that one will be placed to sit next to me...it never works out that way though :(

Maybe it was for the best.

She could be crazy or have a weird body odor or something.

Hope that makes you feel better about missing out.

Me...I'm married. So I usually pray to NOT go to the good-looking guy. I get nervous around really good-looking guys naturally, so I avoid them like the plague.

I thought you were going to say you got to the service woman you wanted to go to, and she turned out to be the rep from hell! But yeah man, I know what you mean.

Is life rude bwoy. But, sometimes the sweet looking ones can actually turn not to be not as nice as the looks....I guess we men will really never learn...always ready to go for one dat looking kriss.

Reminds me of the day that I went overbaord to help out a lass who came into the clinic...krissas...never had appoinment or anything, but I had her registered in no time and took on the case, only to find out she was the most difficult of patients.....the girls I work with laughed me to scorn saying, "It serve your right!"

I always expect to get who I want to service me and I hate when someone other than the one I want ends up being the person to serve me. I can just tell who my personality will jell with.
