Guilty?

Courtesy the Toronto Star

I dont usually do video but thought this was worth sharing. Actually I was searching for the photo that was in the Star this morning with the lady on the ground surrounded by photographers but this is even more interesting with the video.

The background is the lady in the white top on the ground is the aunt of a gang member found guilty of murder yesterday. The other lady (maroon top) is the mother. I could probably launch into a whole diatribe on why this is so wrong on so many levels but I havent researched the story thoroughly.

All I will say is its sad. Wish that we didnt have to see scenes like this played out in the black community.

Hmmm, I don't know what to say, I can't have any pitty for someone in a gang or his relatives is they know the person is in a gang.

Wow... it looked a bit like grandstanding for the cameras to me. What is the purpose of this? I understand grief and disbelief, but this just seemed like 'let's make a scene and get on TV.' Why not launch an appeal? Or talk to the press and tell them your side of the story? Both of those would serve a purpose if your relative is innocent. Shrieking, skinning out on the ground and cursing the media doesn't help your cause.

That's just sad...and the media just loves this kind of thing.

I guess it is a case of you child is your child. maybe she on the ground because she blames herself for how he turned out. Maybe she was a poor parent or despite her best efforts he still strayed. Or just plain grief to a sad situation

You'd expect the mother to feel it more. The aunt obviously wanted her 15 seconds of fame.
