Just hanging out

Like Main Source said. Saturday morning. Anyway praise God I made it through this week! Can I get an amen!

The week was hectic. Work was interesting. I learned how to program in C in basically the last two days out of shear necessity. I learned Fortran at school (yea that's long ago) and I haven't programmed on the job at all since maybe 1997 so it was quite a challenge. I'm still kind of lost with some of the syntax but my program complied and hopefully it does what I want it to do on Monday. Oh well!

Played squash three times this week so I'm well tired today too. Played last night for an hour and a bit with two of my friends. Realized that I'm a bit out of touch and I need to slow down the game a bit in my mind. That's when I play my best. Also this week came to the realization that there is like this elitist element amongst some of the old squash players who've been playing longer than us. They look down their noses at us. I find it rather funny sort of like this summer when me and my boy went to Forest Hills to play tennis on a government owned FREE court. You would think we were there invading something they actually paid for. Rich old folks with entitlement issues. Oh well they can get the finger...The middle!

I almost got castrated at the gym yesterday too. Not playing squash mind you but afterwards. I ended up in the one shower there that has the most high-powered water in the world. Anyone ever seen the Seinfeld episode where they change the water pressure in Seinfeld's building and Kramer goes out and buys black market industrial strength shower heads? Well I think that's what they were using here. I go in the shower stall, turn on the tap and instead of the usual nice stream of water flowing down at a quick but not deadly pace all I heard is whoosh! as several concentrated jets of high powered laser like beams of water rushed out of the nozzles, aimed at my sensitive areas. After my eyes widened in fear I reacted the only ways I could by flinching like an English Batsman facing Marshall and Garner in the mid 80s on a a bad pitch. I was ducking, dodging and weaving. Could have used some of the body armor those guys use too, lol. Anyways, luckily although I did get hit a few serious blows by the water I wasn't castrated...But they need to warn folk about that particular shower cause I don't know if they think that people got elephant skin. chupse!

Anyway speaking of Marshall and Garner I just glance at some cricket news and see the WICB president standing firm with the big cricketing boys dem dat feel say they run cricket. Good to see the WICB not back down. Cant let the inmates run the asylum. After all its not like the team any good these days and that you can say well this man is a match winner and he should get a ease and special treatment. No star we getting liks like school children and all we hearing is about how much woman dem cricketing boys had when we send dem down to Australia to play cricket.

Oh and if ya into cricket a likkle youth that I know wrote this article hayso. I think its not too shabby even if I pretend the writer wasn't me. Hey if I don't big up myself who will. :-) Yes star when me grow up me wanta be just like Yammie and Kami and all dem big cricket writing star dem. :-) much respect to dem sistren!

Have a good weekend folks.
